Well she begged and pleaded and begged some more! Brinley has been asking for months, if not close to a year, to cut her hair and donate it to Locks of Love. I tried to talk her out of it at first because her hair is beautiful long, but she would not let up. Then the "rule" or "goal" I set was that we would wait until after starting Kindergarten & taking school pictures. I did not pay close enough attention in psychology class because that did not work either. She has reminded me for months & on the morning of her school pictures, she reminded me yet again. How can we argue with her for wanting to donate to a child in need?? So a few weeks later, I made an appointment & today...we did it!! I almost cried after the first snip! I know, I know, it will grow back. She LOVES it and I think she looks absolutely adorable! For those that watch the show, when she saw her completed look, she said, "I look like Cara and Maddie on Jon & Kate plus 8!" Daddy is still not so sure about it, but I am glad she likes it and did it for a good cause! Here are before and after pics...

I'm still just basically speechless! It is cute, but I have to be honest, I LOVED her long hair! It is going for a good cause, tho, and her hair is perfect for that! I love my Brin, short, long, or no hair at all!
WOW! I do have to admit, when I saw the post (before the pics) I said OH NO! Not that beautiful hair! BUT, after....she is so CUTE! Absolutely ADORABLE! ok...it's late & I can't come up with any more words, but you get the idea. THANKS for sharing with her great-Aunt Nenna! Love y'all!
I was just asking Faith yesterday if she wanted to cut her hair short...I"m tired of dealing with it, and she hates it when I brush it...but don't have the heart to take her to get it done....so now seeing how cute Brinley's looks, I may just have to!!!!
I think that is awesome! A child of her age to WANT to do something not just for herself. I hope she knows how happy she has made someone by being so kind and giving of her own hair. And just like the others have commented, she is beautiful. And sorry for you but the shorter hair makes her look a bit more grown up! I know you probably didn't want to hear that though! She is beautiful on the inside and out! Brinley, you totally ROCK!!!!
