It's a BOY!!!!!

I had talked myself and probably others into thinking that we would be having our 3rd girl. I was trying to prepare myself for having 3 daughters, but I couldn't have been more wrong! I had 3 dreams during my pregnancy so far where it turned out to be a boy, but I did not DARE tell anyone. I guess deep down I always knew. Brinley is beyond thrilled! Braelyn is in denial, she still wants a "sista". Our little man looks healthy and everything appears to be going well. We are thrilled!!

My friend Paige did this on her blog & I thought it was too funny. I asked these questions of Brinley (6) and Braelyn (3). Some of these are hilarious...

1. What is something mommy always says to you?
Brinley: Read a book
Braelyn: No, no, no & yes, yes, yes

2. What makes mommy happy?
Brinley: Taking mommy to the beach
Braelyn: (smiles as big as possible & points to dimples) "Braelyn's smile makes mommy happy?", "Yes!"

3. What makes mommy sad?
Brinley: when nobody gets you a card for Valentine's Day??? (I got plenty from them, don't know where that came from)
Braelyn: when you're sick

4. How does your mommy make you laugh?
Brinley: tickle us
Braelyn: You smile at me

5. What was your mommy like when she was a child?
Brinley: you had longer hair and it was blacker
Braelyn: liked to hold hands and get in a stroller

6. How old is your mommy? (32)
Brinley: 35 (she went over, but at least she was close!)
Braelyn: 3

7. How tall is your mommy?
Brinley: 15 feet tall
Braelyn: 36

8. What is her favorite thing to do?
Brinley: likes to go to the beach and Disney World

Brinley: read books & watch movies
Braelyn: watch tv & cook dinner & read books

Brinley: you would be a rockstar! because you know sooo many songs...
Braelyn: (points to an m & m bag???)

Brinley: you are a good driver!
Braelyn:.......she has decided to flip around the room for now....

Brinley: doing the splits

Brinley: reading books (recently read the Twilight series, first time reading in YEARS, apparently she picked up on that!)
Braelyn:....decided to tell me "I love you so much!"

16. If your mommy were a cartoon character who would she be?
Brinley: Superman or Batman
Braelyn: I dunno....you would be Dora and Boots

17. What do you and your mommy do together?
Brinley: go to movies
Braelyn: eat snacks and read a book

18. How are you and your mommy the same?
Brinley: we have big feet!! (funny, but sooo true!!)
Braelyn: we have pretty shirts

19. How are you and your mommy different?
Brinley: we don't have the same hair
Braelyn: we have different shoes

20. How do you know your mommy loves you?
Brinley: because you kiss us and you hug us
Braelyn:....too concerned with her hurt foot at this point...

21. What does your mommy like most about your daddy?
Brinley: nothing (hmmm..nice to know she thinks I don't like him)
Braelyn: you kiss him

22. Where is your mommy's favorite place to go?
Brinley: ooohhh, the beach
Braelyn: to Chic-fil-a!

The Miracle of Life...

I am always in awe when I see an ultrasound picture. When I actually get to see my own flesh & blood right there on the screen wiggling around, I am even more amazed my the miracle of life. Whether it is your 1st or your 5th, I think every expecting mother has that natural "worry" instinct the whole time they are pregnant. But, when you see that tiny little baby moving & the littlest heartbeat beating, nothing else matters at that moment and you fall in love. We have such an amazing God!

4th Folder...4th Picture

I know, I know!! It has been forever once again since I posted. I have just felt horrible the last month or so (see video in last post). So I am going to start back simple. My friend Paige did this on her blog, so I figured I would start back with something easy like this. The rules were simple, go to your 4th folder & 4th picture to do the post. Here is my 4 & 4...




Well, this was taken last 4th of July. How cute, my picture even fell into the "4" theme! Anyway, can you believe how much these two girls have grown in almost 7 months??? They have both gotten so much taller. Brinley has MUCH shorter hair now & Braelyn's hair has gotten a lot longer. But they are both still precious!! I am glad I came across this picture because it is so much fun to see how they have changed. However, I cannot get over how fast they grow!! If you notice the Avalanche in the background, that probably constitutes some kind of record. I still have the same car I had last year, but with a 3rd on the way I don't know if it is so practical anymore!! Oh well, this was fun!! I look forward to doing more blogs soon!!

Christmas 2008

I know it has been a long time since my last post! This was not my intention and I am going to try to blog more. The girls were SO excited about Christmas this year. Brinley was in the Christmas program at church and I am pretty sure she would LOVE to be an actress or singer one day! We picked 2 girls from the Angel Tree that were their ages & they LOVED buying things for someone who needed it even if they didn't get to meet them! We saw Santa a couple of times early in the month & told him a few things they wanted, but never got the "actual" picture this year. (thank you extreme mall lines!) They could not wait for this morning to see what they got & they also were about to wet their pants for us to open our presents as well! Their ages this year were perfect. They have enjoyed every minute of it! We also have talked several times about the Reason for the Season and while they may not be able to fully grasp that concept, at least they know that Christmas is not just another day & not just about presents, lights, trees & Santa. I hope everyone else has had a Blessed and Merry Christmas! I am attaching a few of the pictures from last night & today. Thankful...

Try, try & try again. I have tried to post to blogger 2 times in the last week, we'll see if the 3rd time is a charm.

The girls & I & the dog made it in town yesterday for the holiday. I am happy to be here & ready to get down to business, the food business that is...haha. We have a busy day today. James' plane just made it here safely and we are about to be off to the races (3 houses to be exact! yikes!). I just wanted to say how thankful I am for our family & our friends. I am especially grateful for my husband & our two beautiful daughters. They mean the world to me. I hope everyone has a Wonderful Thanksgiving! This song just popped in my head...

Brinley turned 6 on Friday!! Happy Birthday to my "baby"!! I volunteered in her class that day and ate lunch with her. That evening she had her birthday party at a pottery studio. She had a great time!
